Since 1988, our firm’s mission has been to bring quality accounting services to individuals and small businesses throughout central Alabama. To make sure that individuals who didn’t normally have access to accounting services, receive the same quality and care as if they were with a large firm.
Entrepreneurs and small business owners are the backbone of our communities, and it’s also what our firm is built on. We view ourselves as an extension of every individual and business, and therefore it is our mission to help each of our clients achieve their goals and maintain their success.

Growing up in the rural Shelby County community of Vincent, Joe took an interest in accounting after taking a bookkeeping course in high school. He pursued this interest at Jacksonville State University, where he earned his degree in 1976. Upon graduation, Joe took a job with UPS, and within three years, became one of the youngest regional controllers in the company’s history.
“The most gratifying part of this job is the relationships you build over the years,” Joe says. “You watch people get married, have children, become grandparents, open and grow businesses. It’s a unique perspective into people’s lives, and it’s a special thing to be a part of it.”
After assignments in Allentown, PA and Chicago, IL, Joe ended his 12 year career with UPS so his wife and children could be closer to family in Alabama. In August of 1988, he opened the firm with the idea of bringing the knowledge and efficiency he gained from his time with UPS to the underserved communities of central Alabama.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys spending time with his grandchildren. In 2013, he and his wife, Sheilah, started a ministry called Backpack Buddies, with a mission to feed local children with food insecurities. They currently feed around 1,000 children in Leeds, Pell City, and St. Clair County school systems.
